ROE is a limited-edition collaboration between Sophia Roe and MessyWeekend, fusing Roe's eye for design and MW's expertise into a pair of beautifully handcrafted sunglasses.
Copenhagen-based fashion blogger Sophia Roe has become well known for her sharp, minimalistic Scandinavian style. Her styling has been featured in international fashion magazines and she has worked with other high-end brands such as Chanel and Balenciaga.
With a passion for sunglasses, we knew the first time we met her, it would be a natural fit.

Additionally, this production has been added to the Clean Oceans project, where, for every product sold, part of the revenue is donated to clean plastic waste from our oceans.

Some MessyWeekend frames are handcrafted from acetate, exposing the unique design details of the metal within. The signature MW logo in gold chrome and the two dot rivets give a subtle, minimalistic look and an overall exclusive design.
The hinges are hand-drilled and strengthened with 5 barrel-hinges—ensuring consistently tight and durable folding of the temples. The temple tips feature laser-engraved indentations to provide an even better fit behind your ears. Lenses are made of tritan from Eastman, and have full UV400 protection.
